  • Getting down to the "nitty-gritty" of happiness
  • The fine art of having fun

WEEK 2

  • The "Happiness Plan" - how to create your own road map to happiness
  • Sharing ideas and finding your answers
  • The skill of magnifying the joy you already have
  • Learning to be still

WEEK 3

  • 3 Questions to Balance Stress & discussion
  • Discussion on Anxiety, being curious and peeling the emotional onion of anxiety to explore underlying emotions of fear, depression, anger
  • Persecutor, Victim, Rescuer triangle
  • ABC’s of Stress Management
  • Meditation

WEEK 4

  • Review of 3 Questions to Balance Stress;
  • The skill of using humor to deal with stress
  • Discussion of key concepts of importance of humor in our live

WEEK 5

  • Anger & Abuse presentation
  • Aggressiveness vs Assertiveness
  • Post Traumatic Stress
  • Group discussion

WEEK 6

  • Self Esteem discussion
  • Recognizing our Strengths (Looking at the whole person & not just focus on weaknesses)
  • Self Talk & Power of the Positive discussion
  • Overcoming Depression discussion

WEEK 7

  • Grief & Loss discussion
  • Dealing with the Trauma and Grief of Abuse
  • Forgiveness discussion

WEEK 8

  • Listening and Communication techniques (games & discussion)
  • Intimacy & Boundaries discussion

WEEK 9

  • Priorities & Time Management
  • Resiliency
  • Importance of Self-Care - diet, nutrition, exercise, sleep

  • Community resources
  • Handout on Future Stress management goals and Strategies
  • Completion of group evaluation forms

It is important to note that each Stress Seminar is tailored to the needs of the group and may vary depending on the goals expressed by the participants. Seminar goals are set in Week 1 and are determined through group discussion.
